"Why We Like The Pivot Trail 429 Ride GX Transmission Mountain Bike
The perfect blend between a capable cross-country bike and an aggressive trail bike, the Trail 429 is a lightning-fast, lightweight trail bike that excels on various trails. With 120mm of ultra-efficient DW-Link suspension, the Trail 429 was born to shred singletrack trails at light speed and easily conquer technical and rocky ascents. Pivot recently made the suspension system more progressive for the Trail 429, giving us better traction and a plush and stable ride on the descents. With a 66.5-degree head tube angle and stout 29-inch wheels, the Trail 429 is a confident descender, and the 75.5-degree seat tube angle allows us to rocket up climbs by centering our weight over the pedals to ensure an optimal pedaling position. When steeper trails and technical descents are on the forecast for the day, we use the flip chip in the rear shock link to make the Trail 429 longer, lower, and slacker for better stability and confidence. An integrated chainstay and downtube protectors shrug rock strikes and chain slaps, and the top tube's water bottle mount can hold Pivot's Tool Dock system, so we always have our multi-tool with our bike.
The SRAM Eagle 90 Transmission build of the Pivot Trail 429 gives us quality components to ensure we excel on the trail. First up, Pivot's renowned carbon fiber frame is super lightweight and built to the highest standards for reliability. Next, SRAM's Eagle 90 Transmission AXS drivetrain gives us the latest technology in the drivetrain market, equipping us with a super durable construction, unbeatably precise shifting, and a stylish new design. A FOX rear shock supplies us with tons of adjustments to get our setup just right, and a Fox Factory, 140mm fork, soaks up the small bumps and big hits alike. Dual Maxxis Dissectors ensure our ride rolls smoothly and with speed, while SRAM 4-piston brakes are ready to throw down tons of stopping power at a moment's notice.
Heads up - We do our best to keep bike specs and images current, but occasional component changes can happen without warning-and sometimes the photos might not show the exact build you'll receive. If you want to double-check the details, our Gearheads are always here to help."
